Middleweight Main Event
Kendall Grove (14-9) UD Minowaman (51-33-8)
Scores: 30-27, 30-27, 30-27
Despite being a legend in Japan and having one of the most fanatical fans in the sport, the very real fact is that that at this time in his career Minowaman is nothing more than a professional wrestler masquerading as a fighter. Against Grove, Minowaman looked like a man in a fight with a pitbull. Grove simply bullied the flamboyant Minowaman throughout the fight, attacking him relentlessly with submission attempts and superior jiu-jitsu. Minowaman has always been more spectacle than champion but seeing him being manhandled by Grove throughout the fight was uncomfortable. While no one can ever question’s Minowaman’s heart, his talent just isn’t on par with the contenders in the sport.
